Dental Cavities – Explained in Urdu

Dental cavities are one of the most common oral health problems that affect people of all ages. They are caused by the breakdown of tooth enamel, which is the hard outer layer of the tooth, due to the acids produced by bacteria in plaque.

Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that forms on the teeth when a person eats sugary or starchy foods. If plaque is not removed by brushing and flossing, it can harden into tartar, which makes it more difficult to clean the teeth and provides a shield for bacteria.

Over time, the acids in plaque and tartar can erode the enamel and create holes or pits in the tooth, which are called cavities. Cavities can also affect the dentin, which is the second layer of the tooth, and the pulp, which is the center of the tooth that contains nerves and blood vessels.

Cavities can cause symptoms such as toothache, sensitivity, bad breath, and infection. If left untreated, cavities can lead to serious complications such as tooth loss, abscess, and systemic infection. The best way to prevent cavities is to practice good oral hygiene, such as brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily, rinsing with mouthwash, and visiting the dentist regularl

Preventive Dental Care

Our dentists carefully remove the bad area and fill the empty gaps with a dental filling.  Come to a dentist every 6 months for a checkup, so he/she can identify this and fill it as soon as possible.  If left untreated it will cause you severe pain which may then have to be treated by a root canal or even extraction of your tooth
